>>49818569Reminder that Gen 9 and PLA were developed concurrently, retard, they couldn't take major cues from each other without homogenizing into the same product. BUT, as we can already see with the fact SV is Open World, they're going to try and integrate as much that makes sense as possible with what few months of dev time they still have before the game goes gold, like seamless battle transitions.
But it's clear either way Open World is the direction they want to take Pokemon now. PLA is a proof of concept of filling large areas with dynamic things to do (even if it's not much but item spawns, Outbreaks and Spacetime Distortions), and Gen 9's a proof of concept of a seamless open world. When the inevitable SV Expansion Passes come, you'll see them try to actually merge the two games' best elements together as proof of concept for Gen 10's sake.
