Why are the remakes taking longer and longer?

Here's how long it took between the remakes and the original games:

RB-FRLG: 8 years
GS-HGSS: 10 years
RS-ORAS: 12 years
DP-BDSP: 15 years

And BW was released 12 years ago.

Back in gen 3 they weren't sure if pokemon was going to die off or not so they had to release the remakes ASAP to strike while the iron was still relatively hot.

Now they know pokemon will basically be around forever/until the world ends from nuclear fallout so they can take their time.

The funny thing is gen 5 does not need a remake at all it has all the content you could wish for meanwhile the following gens really could use a remake to feel less empty

Gen 6
>Give access to the fucking power plant in the middle of the desert
>add AZ'S floette
>Give the starters megas
>Add a plot with 100% zygarde
Gen 7
>Expand on Looker and Anabel's UB story
>Give kahili and Mina a bigger role in the story, fucking do anything with alola's golf course
>Let lillie and gladion know their dad is alive on bean island
Gen 8
>Fucking fix everything you can even do a sequel
>Add the pokemon that didn't make it in the first time
>Give marnie and bede bigger roles
>Let us travel to meet the royals of galar
>Tell peoni about how his brother is in jail
>Make marnie's town not be a fucking hallway made of cardboard
>Let piers have an actual fucking song during his cutscene

Gen 5 needs a remake solely to get rid of the vomit inducing sprites. Even if it has no new content.

except berry farming
and a non-dogshit battle facility
and non-dogshit looking sprites
and trainer customization
and access to that lake in BW2
and a plot with the original dragon

Remakes after gen 2 were already a mistake.

We don't need remakes. New games set in the same regions maybe, but remakes? No.

They make remakes for every new system. If the system has a longer lifespan then remakes will take longer to come out. Gen 5 remakes are probably slotted for the console after the Switch.
