Legendaries are just strong/rare animals that people create myths around it.
It would be the equivalent of people saying the colossal Megalodon was the Shark who created the sea, when in reality its just a big fish ( Kyogre )
Besides canonically there has been multiple Lugia, Mewtwo, Articuno, Celebi etc... they are just really strong animals. They aren't Gods you retard.

Probably that was Game Freak's idea at the start of the series, but as they went along it was clear that when talking about legendaries their stories were not simple folklore. Heck, Arceus it shown to seriously be the creator of this world.
Don't get me wrong, i also prefer the idea of legendaries as simply strong pokémon to which humans created stories around, but it's not like this anymore i fear

Is ORAS also not canonical?
Because there Groudon and Kyogre are shown to be primordial beings, capable to manipulate the weather to such extent to destroy life.
Or also the HGSS event with Arceus, where there's that tripping cutscene where we see imagery of the universe while he creates a new Palkia, Dialga or Giratina

Realisticly speaking even technology is able to do that, or an army of Pokemon together, this isn't Godly or unique.

While dimension bending is high level, it could also be made by other Pokemon like Dusclops, Gardevoir, Ninetales, Absol etc... they just don't have the same potency as the Sinnoh trio does.

Nowadays anyone with an IQ above 40 can easily go to Pokehex and get an event Pokemon easily. Fucking genuine overworld shinies are harder to get than a shiny legendary.
Really sad to see autists still clinging as if they have any IRL value, its a shame because GF panders more and more to them, making new Mon shiny locked or a pain to get.

My contrarian Opinion is that Pokemon should focus on being fun, instead of worrying about competitive, make more fun moves, and invest in post-game content, rather than pandering to e-sports tryhard faggots.
