Why is the PCs house always isolated? Why can’t we start in a normal town or some suburban area with more than 5 houses?

It's not as isolated then, anon.
>Level 1 (just the house alone) : Alola, Galar, Veria

All the PCs have dads, they aren't mentioned because they're all away from at home, working and providing for their families.
Norman's the only example we get to see of this because he's a Gym Leader, all the other dads are more or less salarymen as a direct reflection of how Japanese culture and family structure is.

There was a map going around a few days ago that had a decent amount of effort put in to line up with the bits of the real map from the trailer, it called the region Veria and apparently some people think it's real despite it getting btfo in a couple different threads.

Wouldn't it be nice if you went on your adventure, became the champion and then found Dad sitting on the couch at home? Perhaps he watched your match on tv and was amazed at how good you got in the short time he was away.
