Are the typings they have (Fairy and Steel/Fairy) good? Yes, especially with Mawile because Steel/Fairy is pretty much the best type combo there is.
The same can't be said for Ice because it's a bad typing and has been since gen 1 (le Kanto gen).

Lession here is that Fairy is good while Ice is (still) shit and will continue to be shit because Game Freak is too busy shitting out the latest human being that is passing itself off as a Pokémon with its shillmon stat spread and movepool, while Pokémon like Aurorus are stuck with shit STAB options like Ancient Power.
