>>49837858>>49837648Also to just give my opinion, I'd be wary about it because the more public updates we do in a high-visibility fashion, like a demo, the more a risk of Nintendo C&D us there is. This isn't something other devs seem particularly concerned about, but I would be.
Secondly, releasing a demo takes time and effort away from main development. It may not seem like it would, but a demo release isn't just throwing up the current internal playtest to the wiki, there's decisions that need to be made as far as how much content to include since playtests often have placeholders or are missing/have stuff that wouldn't normally be there, some stuff wpould need to be polished up, etc.
Lastly, I know a concern other people would have would be that the more demos we put out, the less of a suprise things are to players and there's more tedium for people then having to replay a signficant amount of content once the final game comes oiut. The 1.0 and 2.0 builds don't suffer from that too much since it's just 1 and 3 gyms worth of content, but if it's to gym 5 or 6 then that's like half the game.
The major thing that would make me want to maybe consider it is that it gives us another round of feedback to review, and another chance to go back and fix/improve stuff that was otherwise locked (red tape prevents changing locked/confirmed areas or descisions unless demo feedback sessions cover that content, with a few exceptions)
