But it's also the only "Third version" that's inferior to its predecessors (Red/Blue).
Although Yellow gives you all 3 kanto starters (Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle), your team is also limited to only FIVE pokemon + a weak ass Pikachu you're stuck with. You can't box or evolve it, so it often becomes the most useless member in your party. Meanwhile Red/Blue lets you fully customize your team.
The only noticeable changes that Red/Blue don't have are
