Among all the weird looking creatures, I want that to be the truly strange one because it looks like a human, and that's why it's so fucking weird.
Hell, you can still be creative with it. Have this species be somewhat uncanny, perhaps by having very obvious pokemon traits such as only saying its own name, being weirdly eager for battle, being somewhat feral, etc. I just think it'd be fun.
