did you read the comment with it? starters and pika line are excluded from the 'rule'. Raichu shoulda yea been red, but I just went by evo-family over singular pokemon.

Seviper appearing gives all the more reason to set Arbok apart imo.

Besides the snake, the others from that list I think have a pretty good chance of getting something are Tauros, Dodrio, Dewgong, Seaking and Hypno. Tauros bc bulls, while the other four just seem like they are very neglected compared to the others missing something (Ditto is Ditto, Golduck line appears often in side media, fossils are fossils...). I could definitely see Dewgong getting a warm water variant, Seaking getting an evo bc wtf not, and then Hypno and Dodrio just getting good old random af regionals.

I like them, could get something but it's probably not at the top of their list

It's like Growlithe essentially, it doesn't virtually need anything as it's already in the better end of Gen 1 mons.
But it would be very sweet and also likely.

I hope not. I don't like that they might be doing this from here on out because there's so many other cat Pokemon getting straight up ignored at this point. Meowth definitely has mascot status but just give him and his line and some other gimmick to abuse each game rather than reinventing a new Meowth. Pokemon like Skitty and Espurr are becoming less relevant by the day and it bugs me.

The Clefairy line got Fairy typing and +10 points to Sp. Atk in Gen VI which has honestly done more for my favourite Pokémon than any generational gimmick.

It really should have gotten the fairy typing. It still is the only Pokemon line with normalize but there's nothing special about that ability. It really is a Pokemon that needs revisiting. I think Gen 3 is actually overlooked as a generation for revisiting. There are a lot of Pokemon that just don't cut the mustard. At least later generations have something going for them, but generation 3 just feels like there's so many Pokemon that just don't even get anything anymore. You could say the same thing for certain Gen 1 and 2 mons (dewgong doesn't even get freeze dry), but Gen 3 has Pokemon like tropius, shiftry, hariyama, delcatty, castform and zangoose. And even though Pokemon like flygon or breloom are popular, they actually haven't gotten anything either. Gen 3 in my opinion is one of the most schizophrenic generations because like a third of the Pokemon are loved, a third of them forgotten, a third of them got something in the past few games, and hardly any of them are competitively viable in the current meta.

I'm honestly surprised Psyduck hasn't gotten anything yet. It's in every region last time I checked, it's Masuda's favorite, and normalfags remember it because of Misty. Maybe gen 9 will give the line something new.
