Pokemon design philosophy should have stuck with generation 1 and 2's philosophy that they're all generic monsters, mini Kaiju and abominations. Modern Pokemon are too cute, sterile and marketable.
I loved Legends and want that sort of freedom in a Pokemon game, but I'm actually pissed that generation 9 may not be a traditional Pokemon game because those style games have a lot of benefits
All the QOL changes added in generation 8 are fucking retarded. Pokemon should have varied and diverse methods of evolution and IVs plus being forced to EV train and breed for natures are a good thing. Some of the changes are okay, but they need to really scale them the fuck back before it over corrects and cheapens the value of doing anything besides pumping a Pokemon full of items
