STAB should be a 50% damage increase for monotype users and a 25% damage increase for dual-type users.

nerfing dual types is not the way to go about this.
you should buff monotypes instead.

In my humble opinion, too many Pokemon know too many moves. They should severely cut the coverage options on basically all Mons, make strong off-type Moves the exception and not the norm

Wait until the gen 9 gimmick comes out. Gems will come back and the holder gains a secondary type to his moves (excludes Flying Press ofc).
