The DLC was really nice too, way better than having to buy third versions. Probably not worth it if you have no interest in online features but the hate is massively overblown by dexit autists.

I hate the new battle system and can't wait for SV to go back to the classic mechanics but the exploring and catching, the sidequests, and the seamless battles are all really lovely. If the game had the traditional battle system and some more places where combat was actually relevant it could really be perfect. 8/10.
Overall a pretty good generation in my eyes at least outside of BDSP. Better than the last 2 at least and if nothing else at least they're trying new things for the first time since pretty much ever. With how much Legends Arceus was able to refine the Wild Areas concept I'm very excited for Gen 9 to improve further.
