I'd unironically be okay with new Legends games to catch/introduce Pokemon and a definitive Stadium title with updates every generation with new Gym Leader Castles, Elite 4s, cups, online tournaments, and the full library of rental Pokemon (but still the ability to pull in your better trained/customized ones from the other games).

It will literally never happen but I can dream.

The thing that I don't get is that, if Game Freak wants to reuse assets and shit, why not take the time and make a game like Stadium that you don't have to add filler like story and shit and just focus on animations and stuff that can be reused later?

Why do people want this? PBRs battle facilities were way better. Gym leader castle was just a standard knockout battle with glaring weaknesses on each gym.
PBR was basically battle frontier.
I cannot fucking imagine why people would fucking want gym leader castle ever again.
