That episode didn't just get Porygon banned from the anime, it was influential to the anime industry as a whole. You know those warning labels at the beginning of every anime telling you to watch in a well-lit room? That Porygon episode is the reason why.

The fact that they still refuse to use Porygon after that because they refuse to do anything else with Porygon other than that says a lot.

It wasn't even Porygon, it was because of Pikachu using an Electric to blow up two missiles. They stopped using strobe effects for Pikachu's Electric attacks after this episode for this reason

Logic isn't a strong suit with people who have moral outrage. Paragon episode caused kids to have a seizure, therefore Porygon is the issue. Nevermind that Pikachu actually caused the explosion or that they could just not do rapidly flashing colors.

I think the better question is "do Alphas of the Porygon line exist?" Because in the countless hours I have spent looking for an Alpha Porygon, I have found a Shiny Eevee, a Shiny Floatzel, an Alpha Floatzel and a Porygon-Z.
Are they under some sort of Alpha lock until I complete the main story?

The only alpha lock that I know of is that random alphas in a given area don't spawn until you beat the corresponding noble
I'd imagine the Porygon line is no exception, and just like alpha Turtwigs only spawn after quelling Lilligant, alpha Porygon should be able to spawn in distorsions after that

The animators were fucking retarded for using rapidly alternating red and blue lights. On top of that, Pikachu was the one who made that happen, yet they blame Porygon and ban it from the anime. It's fucking retarded and one of the many reasons why Pokemon is an absolute joke

I'm honestly really curious to see how they could handle a Porygon return, like I feel like if they arranged something with whatever board banned Porygon with, and had the episode under heavy review to ensure it meets the standards, with no repeating incident it'd be worth trying
