I get why the logos are so terrible now. It looks like they want them all designed by the same person in all languages as they're slowly standardizing the brand as this cultureless global monolith
vs. what they used to do with actual logo design in several different languages, it's way easier to just use a font and call it a day

I think version 2 is best. The Western Pokémon logo looks so old now. same design since the 90s, they are way overdue for an update

Western logo has aged like milk. If it wasn't for the fact it's one of the few things left of what the franchise used to be, I would hope they'd update it somehow.

The Western logos look like free fonts, and hardly look like they're supposed to be counterparts of the same generation.
The edited versions on the other hand, have way too much of the yellow border that takes up too much visual space.

Even if I’m not a fan of the designs (Japanese or western) I do appreciate the attention to detail you had. The originals are just like “slap a font and some outline, no one will care”

Anyone that dislikes the Scarlet font needs to be sent to the gulag

...To be fair to them, though, I guess they're not old enough to have learnt about the electromagnetic spectrum yet, so they miss the blatant wavelength reference

You don’t need to be such a sourpuss. Anon made something and came here proud to show us. Be respectful.
Besides, infra red wavelength is flatter than ultra Violet, which is wavier. If anything, the Violet logo should be groovy and the scarlet one flat.
