I would put it at about a 7 or 8 overall. SwSh were flawed, but compared to other first versions rate about 5-6/10, the DLC bump to 6-7/10, and LA were a 9/10, averaging at 7 between the 3.

Nah if it was free it would be 8 even but as PAID DLC for 30$ SwWh gets 5/10 in terms of Pokemon and 4/10 as a game

If Sword and Shield had national dex and megas/z-moves all you autistic faggots would be praising it at least just as much as gen 6 and 7, and you'd be hating on Legends instead for being the first game to dexcut. Similarly, if Sword and Shield had no wild area and Legends' was Gamefreak's first attempt at open design it'd be just as fucking barren and lifeless and unpolished in that regard. But you can recognize the significant improvements they've had since their initial conceptualization in Sword and Shield, first in Crown Tundra and now in Legends and hopefully they'll become even better in Gen 9 and beyond.

Literally Sword and Shield walked so Legends could run and people unfairly criticize it for the rough edges as a result. Sword and Shield were the first games to innovate in pretty much any fundamental, non-battle aspect of Pokemon since gen fucking 2, of course they're going to be messy especially as the first HD games on top of that. But just blindly hating them without recognizing any of the contributions they've had to the series is nonsense.

The problem is that Gamefreak repeatedly lied about why SwSh's quality control was total ass. At first the models and textures were futureproofed in Pokedex 3d/Gen 6 but then the problem became "Oh we had to do all those models again!“ and then people opened up rendering programs and pointed out all of models were the same exact thing and we still had issues like Blastoise Hydro Pumps at the mouth. They never had any reason to cut the dex, and you keep tripling down on their discredited excuse. Just more proof that dexcutters are irrational idiots simping for multi-billion dollar companies.

I never said anything about that, retard. The problem with the dexcuts though is that we didn't get enough in return for the cuts (and really that's the fault of the rushed development cycle TPC and Nintendo force Gamefreak into more than anything), not that we had cuts to begin with.

Even then as I already said Sword and Shield gave us the first true innovations in Pokemon's non-battle gameplay in decades, and both Crown Tundra and Legends continued this trend, so we have at least get some significant benefits. But autists would rather just play Red and Blue clones for eternity than actually see the games evolve.

If you let the graphics decide how you feel about a game rather than the core gameplay, you have no idea what a better game is. Me, I hate SS because it's a bad game with base mechanics I like, and I hate Legends because I don't like the base mechanical changes to the Pokemon formula so I can't say if it's good or not. It looks like the spent more time editing the 3DS texture because they didn't have a more complex lighting system like the Switch was capable of. To put it another way, both games used the same base texture but edited them differently. Similarly, changes to the mesh were likely done when they took the quad model and made tris out of it, given we've seen cases of both and they did change the model format between the 3DS and Switch titles. To put it simply, there was actually less effort put into the Switch titles on everything you've shown examples of. At least post a normal map or something.
