>>49883605I don't care about the anime at all and I do think Misty's time with the younger crowd has passed, but I think people are frankly delusional if they don't acknowledge her impact on the image of the series. To anyone with a base understanding of pokemon in the mainstream, she's the girl most people know. She's basically like the pikachu of pokegirls. I don't ship anyone with Ash but if the anime was to end tomorrow and they wanted him to solidify a relationship with someone, they would absolutely make him get with Misty to retain the brand image alone. It's as simple as that.
