Gen 1/3 take place during the same time

>Red/Blue are 14B/W has a Rocket Member that has since left the organization and has a kid
>Kid appears to be 3-4 years old given his sprite (Red/Blue would be 17-18 in this case)B/W2 are 2 years after BW

>Red/Blue are confirmed 20So there hasn't been much time that has passed between Gen 7 and the end of Gen 5, at most a year if you want to argue that the Rocket's Kid is only 3, due there being a preschooler sprite and this kid appears about the same age, but not old enough to own a Pokemon. Originally it was guessed around 5 years later for BW, but Red/Blue being confirmed 20 in Alola debunked that. SwSh I would imagine is probably around the same time that XY/SM are happening overall at the very least.
