PLA is absolutely not bad for its cutscenes and interruptions. Tons of AAA open worlds are way worse, to the point where PLA is probably has less of them than the average. It also has less forced events and dialogue than any pokemon game after gen 4, except maybe swsh
>>49890715Trainer battles are just punching bags for exp so you're not underleveled for the next boss. Other rpgs just use the monster encounters for that most of the time (which pla does), but mainline pokemon decided wild pokemon needed to be so underleveled you need to grind to use them, and they give less exp. Honestly its pretty retarded design.
