Why would the anime promote a gimmick from a game that launched 9 YEARS AGO?
Hope this is not some sort of bait. But well, weird things happened in the anime and they become part of the games later or are "sneak peeks" of games.
Like when in the SM season Ash went back to Kanto, and they had Megas. Like in Let's Go.
