Pokemon has killed shiny pokemon every since they started giving them away like candy in GO. I has not gotten better. Every time I boot up Legends Arceus I almost always randomly come across a shiny. During XY and ORAS day I used mesuda methoded and dex radar to get over 150 shiny pokemon and that took around a thousand hours. I think shiny odds should stay 1/4096, some of things in you can do in PLA you can bring your odds down to around 1/100. Shiny pokemon are not special if I can get a whole team of them without trying
