I pick Fire types by default, unless the other two types have something better on offer (only found Primarina to be worth that pick in 26 years). Either the cat turns out great, or I'm defaulting to Fire again, doubtless there'll be a better Water type option somewhere in-game either new or I'll use Basculegion in a core game instead.
