Is Scarlet and Violet going to continue that mechanic from SwSh where Pokemon that are higher level than yours have their catch rate dramatically reduced?

Why not, it’s one of the only things SwSh did right. high level Pokémon should be harder to get.

Given it's open world and the narrative could break extremely easily if you wandered far enough and caught a Level 50+ something through sheer luck alone, most likely yes.

considering I can use my level hundred, false swipe/sleep level 50 and under Pokemon and have them constantly break out without wiggling, fuck the mainline catch rates
