Because the DS games reused sprites things like grass and environments. This animation is supposed to further the character by adding a specific personality and by reusing it, it makes Hau's character feel weaker.

asset reuse is common among AAA titles with way more budget than pokemon games, its a standard practice of the industry, pokemon fans are just retarded and don't understand how game dev works

Ok if it reuses animations and has poor quality every where else it should at least have the nat dex, if it reuses this animation but all Pokemon have cool unique animations like stadium or Coliseum the. It's ok

The reason why it was bad in Swsh is they cut the dex for it probably so they can have a bare bones 3 turn gimmick (they should of just added 5 more megas to keep gimic people happy)

it would be one thing if it were just resource management, but when they directly state that their reasoning behind cutting a large portion of the game's main fucking appeal is to improve the visuals, they shouldn't be recycling assets from a 3 year old game on vastly inferior hardware.
