Always been weird that Shauna of all people is the third Kalos Starter trainer. She's more part of a trio with Trevor and Tierno, but whatever... Her and Chespin have the same face, so they're just meant for each other, and the other two's Starters match their colour palettes. Is that shallow reasoning? Yes. Do I care? No, they look best this way

Uh, yeah. Selene and Hau are both Decidueye-associated in my head. Which is hella annoying.I feel like Primarina fits Selene more, not really working with Hau much at all, but in turn, Selene is even more associated with Decidueye than Hau is, so it just turns into a mess

Funny Scottish meme girl gets funny meme Starter. That's it, that's my logic. Then Victor gets Scorbunny because of his red shirt and because he looks weird with Grookey to me, and because Hop has only ever looked right with Rillaboom. Tried pairing him with Cinderace once for the bunny-hop joke, just didn't work
