They're not going to retcon Tajri when they just reiterated his lore for he younger generations. Then we get to the sticky wicket of getting the MC back to the past, without it being a wholesale rip-off of Legends (which again was written to follow on from what DPPt/BDSP did by having the MC be an older version of the one who stopped Cyrus sent back to the past to stop a similar plot) or abusing a mythical unrelated to the region, except in one specific circumstance.
