I made a picture using a template for it and posted it long ago but I don't know if I have it anymore.
The "puzzle" is having to find the correct objects in the house to interact with that will open the path to the gym leader.
There are no gym trainers, but some of the objects will initiate pokemon battles, like a candle/lamp/chandelier being litwick/lampent/chandelure, and a tea set being a polteageist and sinistea, interacting with dolls in a bedroom and having it be a banette and mimikyu encounter, and interacting with a knight statue, having the armor fall off and reveal its actually a golurk and a honedge. Rotom could also be utilized in this and I imagine if I put this in the game that the gym would actually become where rotom static spawns daily or weekly.
The leader would have pokemon you see in the gym, like doublade, polteageist and mimikyu, but their ace would be trevenant because of the forest location.
The lore was that the gym leader looked pretty edgy and kind of like they could be a ghost, but was actually really nice and took care of lost pokemon in the abandoned house and forest. You'd get the TM for phantom force.
I imagined it as the 7th gym and for the gym leader to probably be a girl, also.
