Peak lazy writing. It would have been more believable if he wanted to use Arceus to subjugate the other clans and Galaxy Team so he and the Ginkgo merchants could rule over Hisui or something. Or explain how the Ginkgos worshipped Giratina as Almighty Sinnoh rather than Dialga or Palkia. I was just expecting something with a bit more meat to it if they were going to do a sudden twist into a villain reveal.
