Let's go the other direction and say we don't need Galar.
Or Alola. They both play like spinoffs and they'd be better off if they were just treated as such. SV will be the real Gen 7.

You weren't going to use them anyway. Nobody likes those shitmons. If they were removed from the franchise nobody would bat an eye. Who cares. The more pokemon removed the better. A bunch of [kanto/johto/hoenn/sinnoh/sinnoh/unova/kalos/alola]bortions gone, and nothing of value was lost. I don't like Pokemon.

This but unironically. Also nobody cared when the national dex entries were removed in Gen 7 so no one cares that the mons themselves are gone in Gen 8.
