Found out about it today and it made me kinda mad and laugh at the same time. I'm not a cynic, but the way these games are made is the same way I did my homework in high school, it had to be done so I halfassed my way through it and hoped that my lack of effort wouldn't be noticed.... I mean look at the recent games...

Anyhow, long story short...the gimmick was supposed to be unique textures for every single pokemon caught, along with unique colours ranging from much darker to much brighter than the standard in the pokedex. The height of the pokemon is also random and displayed correctly in the overworld...there was also a "shiny factor" planed to be on the colour spectrum.

Everything got scraped and instead it was decided to use the texture idea with some design AI to transform the textures of specific pokemon to resemble the trainers' clothes. The new form is named after the trainer. If your name is Tom and you wear black clothes and a hat...your Tyranitar will transform into a black/ greenish version with some lame helmet thing and will be called Tom-Tyranitar.....also, this game has the LEAST trainer customizations, gg
