Protagonists like Red have a very distinct red jacket and hat, Hilda has the dumbass shorts, chicken chan has the dumbass hat, NPC characters that stand out are like Lance with his weird cape outfit, Lt. Surge has his camo, Giovanni has a suit.
Generic outfits don't really stand out, which is what the Gen 9 Protagonists have, generic outfits that every other school kid is going to be wearing.
