>>49969019A little related but back when worldwide release dates weren't a thing (it only started around XY) it seemed like everyone had to relearn what each Pokemon was called in English because everyone was playing unofficial translation patches of Black/White and overseas fans really only knew names from magazine scans. I still have problems from time to time with Tabunne (Audino) but strangely, none of the other ones. Almost referred to Oshawott as "Mijumaru" by mistake a few times in the past year or so.
Saw an Italian poster ask what age Ingo was at some point but didn't realize what they meant at first because they called him Fero. I guess it happens from time to time.
