Leon has to be one of the smartest trainers to successfully use Aegislash’s stance change ability effectively early on and to ensure type coverage on his Charizard against water types. I’d place him under Cynthia and Mustard in terms of intelligence. He wins matches modestly and loses gracefully. Even after losing his championship title he didn’t give up and moved onto better things with REAL competitive matchups at the Battle Tower.
