>>49978236I believe Alphas are different from normal Pokemon. They're more aggressive in game and "filled with wild might," so I think they're more in tune with the wild spiritual side of Pokemon. Most of the time they're just bigger and stronger, but that also probably means they're smarter too. So compared to any old common Gardevoir, an Alpha Gardevoir would be like a wild mystical seer.
I think it's kind of implied that the Guardians and Alphas are similar, with the Guardians being more "in control" and allied with humans compared to the untamed Alphas
