Never usually use them but I did use jirachi for bdsp since I've always liked it and never had one before. Only other time I used a legendary was terrakion for the battle subway in bw.
I don't usually use pseudos either for the same reasons but occasionally I will if it fits my theme.

These two have actual story elements in Black and White. After playing White, I purchased an event card and used it to gift in a level 15 Meloetta and the liberty pass. The low levels actually make them decent for a play through and Meloetta‘s triple typing is a lot of fun to use.

People play with whatever they want.
Personally I think having 1 legendary can be cool.
Having a team of 6 is kinda meh though.
Speaking of which my friend beat me today by using a team with a bunch of injected mons and it felt real bad honestly.
How am I suppose to prove that legendaries aren't instant win buttons when I just fucking lost to them?

most of them aren't even that overpowered. Victini for example's far less busted than even the Drilbur you can get super earlygame. Mew's damage output is outdone by most fully evolved mons and using it is more or less saying "i want to fuck about with TM's"
Legendaries in general aren't as special as you'd think outside of gen 3's weather trio.

By making a gimmick team. I see this guy on YT, temp, probably the normiest of levels in elo, but I see that his teams are gimmicks (the most strongest are stallers).
If you focus more on stats and opportunity hits, you can beat all the legendaries with a Magikarp.

Legendries just make the game boring and less interesting because they don't evolve and that they come with stats that basically steamroll anything.

Pokemon would've been better off if they just replaced Legendaries with strong but rare full evolution line Pokemons with fitting lore attached to them.

Why not use them? Mythicals have no other usage but main game playthrough. Just boxing them for the rest of their days just because you don't want to feel cheap using them seems pretty dumb.

as a kid, it was the coolest feeling ever. using that overpowered, hard to catch beast you found organically. now i dunno, it just feels cheap and wrong. maybe if there was a big, challenging post game i'd be proud to use a powerful legendary or two.

People might also forget that Liberty Island Victini doesn’t have V-Create, so it’s not overpowered in game. You also get it right before the bug gym, so it could be a toss up due to the Psychic typing being a weakness (basically making it a battle of glass cannons).

Bug would be neutral on it. The main issue comes from having shitty moves for so long, you don't even get a special fire move that's not Incinerate until level 41, and the Psychic TM is very lategame. You could use the relearner to get Searing Shot, but it's got only 5 uses. It's a bit of a liability because of these.
