>>49970910I remember reading a nice two-part fic about 18(?) or so years ago about a police Growlithe working who worked with his officer, not a Jenny but the same basic idea. They were partners and life was good. Then one day she adopted a homeless little Meowth kitten that kept getting into trouble and the Growlithe got annoyed with it. They got dragged into hijinks together and ended up okay with one another. Most of it revolved around this guy trying to date the officer and the Growlithe not liking him because he was a "silly weak man" who kept getting between him and his lady cop trainer. Had this train of thought like the interruption and time drain was a bother, he didn't deserve a woman as awesome and cool as his trainer, he smelled like office paperwork while she smelled like sweat and fire. Things like that. I hadn't thought about the idea much until then, but I could easily see it happening.
