i'm talking about the old designs of pokemon not being used anymore.

left Bulbasaur is the original design and it's unused since Gen2.
Also, if you look at Gen1 sprites, Bulbasaur lines have rounded ears which are inaccurate to their artworks.
perhaps the word "canon" is wrong here but you get my idea

Idgaf about canonicity like everyone else itt but anyway these guys are great. the bulbasaur line is my favorite of all starters and though I'd miss venusaur being a hulking beast, as an idea its cooler to see the plant suck the life out of the animal. It portrays its pokedex entries better imo and feels like another take on parasect (objectively one of the coolest mons).
Lost the gif I was gonna post instead of pic related, but it also reminds me of buzzwole deflating snorlax which was cool as shit.
