Tapu Bulu/Bruxish/Exploud/Probopass-just generally ugly
Arctozolt/Dracozolt-just look awkward. The fish ones at least look somewhat believable
Landorus/Thunderus-copy paste genies
Unfezant-easily the worst of the regional birds which I typically like

Conkeldurr-same with veins
Stonjourner-not really a lot of rock types I hate despite being one of my least liked types.
Snom-as a fan of cute Pokemon, this thing is the definition of overrated
Dragonite-ruined a good line
Togekiss-same except only ruining 1 Pokemon I like instead of 2 for locking it out of all the good moves the line learns
Garbrador-Trubbish at least managed to be cute while being literal trash
Scrafty-never cared for gang culture
Jellicent-more for the female version looking like a cheap whore. The male one is fine

For me personally, this is honestly the first time I've disliked most of a new generation. I'm usually very welcoming of new pokemon and usually I'll even warm up to ones I didn't like at first. But it's been three years and I might actually hate shit like Stonjourner and Blipbug more than I did at first.

Each Pokemon includes its whole line/variants save for Cofagrigus.

Didn't get the Chewtle line or Applin/Flapple, but I think almost everything outside of Sunkern, Elgem/Beehymen, Conkledurr is here.

The Bug van is a steep downgrade from Grubbin, which was a massive disappointment the first time i evolved him.

I think the design are actually bad and the recency bias just accentuate it. They tried to go with a more extreme cartoony design with overexaggerated proportion (Chewtle and Blipbug head, Calirex very big head and small body) and really simple and geometric design (like Eiscue or Stonjourner) and it just didn't work. Just compare two often disliked rock type Rhyperior and Stonjourner: Rhyperior has a more complex and organic design meanwhile Stonjourner design is very simple and geometric. I dislike both but Rhyperior design just "flow" better so I dislike it less than Stonjourner. Add to that some gen 8 pokémon are just agressively bland (Grapploct or Boltund) so even design that could have been good are just meh because they lack personality and you end with a lot of bad design and not enough good design to compensate for it unlike gen 4 or 5 reinforcing the general dislike of the gen. But Legend of Arceus has some really solid design like Hisuian Lilligant so I'm a bit more hopeful for gen 9.

i fuckin hate the gen 8 legendaries, cosmog, and ash greninja specifically

if this were updated for legends therian enamorus would definitely be added to it

I dislike some of the Gen 8 designs (especially Calyrex) and the forces of natures/legendary Genies. I don't dislike any of the bug and normal mons but Wormadam and Watchog are kinda boring imo.
Would have picked Enamorous if I could.
