>>49978981>finding a different species every encounter = goodI think this is actually a problem most people don't notice most of the time, but it's something that's worth considering. Sometimes it's good to have the same line in multiple different areas for teambuilding reasons. Your options are:
>If the Pokemon is only on an early route, it can be a pain in the ass to bring them up to speed (some of you might know this as the "Kanto Problem" in Gen 2, where it's at it's most exacerbated)>If a Pokemon line is both on an earlier and later route, the earlier one has the advantage of the player being able to pick up good EVs and level up moves, while the later one doesn't have to worry about leveling up and EVs and moves aren't crucialMore options doesn't always mean distinctly different ones, sometimes it's more subtle.
Now, it's not a good idea to spam every type of area with the same Pokemon either, you get sick of seeing the same Pokemon a lot. There's a fine balance that you have to reach, and you'll never please everyone.
