I love the end product and Iwata's role in making it happen but I think it's an actual shame they had to scale it down to just Kansai and what they left from Chubu due to limitations and that we lost so much detailed sprite work not found in the final release but I'm also glad that they got to flesh out some of those places in the subsequent regions.
