Do people dislike Lanturn? I always assumed it was fairly popular. Never encountered anyone who disliked it. Solid choice IMO.

I'm a very big fan of both personally, but then again, I've never disliked any of the Johto designs for the most part, so my opinion's probably a bit biased with it being in my favorite generation of designs.

A lot of Johto designs - not Lanturn - have a problem where they look like a first stage pokemon and have stats like a first stage pokemon but they don't evolve into anything.
I don't dislike Mantine, or Girafarig (my fav), or Sudowoodo, or whatever, but there's definitely something lacking.
