>>49988585Normal is an okay defensive type, but fairy is better, resisting 2 of the best offensive typings in the game which have some of the best moves in the game like knock off and CC, and being immune to dragon, which ur underplaying massively. we're talking invalidating outrage, and free switch ins into draco meteors and dragon darts, which is far more prevalent than shadow ball.
Poison and steel being shit offensively is a large part in why fairy is strong defensively. You have alot more and alot switch in options to resist/ignore poison steel STAB compared to fighting stab since the typings that resist fighting tend to be frail as is, and opponents can no longer capitalize on knock off coverage for switch ins, letting them get to remove one of ur items out of fear of close combat.
