Which orre game did you like more?

Im gonna beat colosseum a second time and go tru gale of darkness for the first time soon

I hate to say it but it genuinely feels like soul vs soulless, all the atmosphere and tone from the original is gone and it just falls flat

Gale of Darkness is great and definitely has some points over Colosseum. Mostly it has to do with Pokemon selection: While I appreciate that they want to keep your choices limited, I think Colosseum went a bit too far, to the point where you've basically only got one option if you want to use certain Types.

But overall, Colosseum takes it. It's more challenging, the character designs are a bit better, and the whole atmosphere is just extremely cool. I love how seedy it gets while still basically feeling like a place that could exist somewhere in the Pokemon world (at least circa Gen 3).

Colosseum has a really cool aesthetic and vibe. Like Mad Max meets punk meets pokemon meets wild west and it really works. XD is good but it definitely loses the vibe by being brighter, greener, and having the younger protagonist

This, although Colosseum's human models are noticeably lower quality especially generic NPCs so even if the designs are better XD's characters look a bit nicer overall.

XD has the better system when it comes to UI, but I would rather put up with Colosseum's weaker system since it has a better feel to the atmosphere. Colo feels like an actual ghetto while XD just feels like your generic cartoony game.

The sequel is probably the better game, but I find myself having a lot more fun replaying Colosseum. The game is so jam-packed with Johto shitmons, it's kinda fun trying to put a rag-tag team together from so few options.
