>>50009858You got it backwards. Yellow generally has improved almost all the gym leader teams, with the exception of Erika.
Brock is pretty much the same, except a couple of levels lower. Although given that your starter is Pikachu, this battle will be tougher anyway.
Misty is pretty much identical.
Lt Surge is one of the ones with a bigger change. He only has a single Raichu instead of 3 Pokemon, although it is 4 levels stronger and has a much better moveset (i.e. it isn't completely walled by a level 15 Diglett)
Erika's Pokemon are a few levels stronger and have slightly better movesets, although her Victreebel and Vileplume are now a Weepinbel and Gloom respectively. The Victreebel in particular was a bit of a monster due to how broken Razor Leaf and Wrap were in gen 1.
Koga is a much higher level, although he now just has 3 Venonat and a Venomoth instead of 2 Koffing, a Muk and a Weezing. Although again the movesets in Yellow are much better.
Sabrina has a useless Abra to start with, although her Kadabra and Alakazam are a much higher level and make her more difficult.
Blaine also has higher level Pokemon with better movesets, and he replaces the Growlithe and Ponyta with a Ninetales.
Giovanni also has higher level Pokemon, with most of his team now having Earthquake and his Rhyhorn being replaced by a Persian (also a monster due to how crits worked in gen 1).
All the Elite Four have the same Pokemon and levels, but the moveset is better (e.g. Lorelei's Slowbro uses Surf instead of Water Gun, Bruno's Onix has Rock Slide instead of Rock Throw as well as having Ground type moves on both of them, Agatha's strongest Gengar now knows Hypnosis as well as Dream Eater, most of Lance's Pokemon have more coverage moves).
Blue's Exeggutor now has 4 moves and he no longer has his meme Rhydon with Tail Whip and Leer.
