Yes I will. The games aren't that hard to emulate. They've just been remade. There's no reason to go back and buy a physical cartridge of those old ass games unless you are an autist collector, and autists pay autistic prices.

Trust me, if the games costed 5 dollars and they flooded gamestops, you suddenly wouldn't want the game anymore.

While we are on the topic has anyone else noticed how fucking bad normies are at taking care of their games?

I can understand kids throwing away a gameboy or gba box but the ds boxes are literally fucking perfect and i still have all of my games, pokemon games aren’t rare at all there’s literally millions of copies but i guess many kids just lost them for stupid reasons and now we are here, if everyone has taken good care of their games people would notice how common they actually are, like there’s way more rare ds games like the chrono trigger port, ghost detective, the dragon quest games and somehow something like heartgold can surpass stuff like dragon quest VI in some places just because pokemon is more popular

Emulation isn't illegal, but downloading roms is (yes, even if you own a physical copy, you can dump your own rom then, not download someone else's). Not that it really matters since no one ever gets in trouble for downloading roms. It's like jaywalking, technically illegal, not really enforced.

Id be more than happy to buy it from Papa Nintendo if it was for sale. If Emerald or Firered was on the Switch Id buy it immediately and have a blast online
But as it is, I cant buy it. I can only pay 6x its actual value for a used copy to someone who is unaffiliated with the company.
So instead of doing that, I emulate and add mods to my game. I have an Emerald ROM on my PC and Pokemon Crystal on my 2DS.
Piracy is a distribution problem, not a moral problem.

I threw out the boxes as a kid because of how much space they took up. I couldn't store them all so it made more sense to me to keep the tiny cartridges in a smaller box
