It gives Pokemon new colors/typing/moveset.
>Venusaur fuses with CharizardCharizard is now green with venusaur's moveset and grass/poison typing, it retains its own stats however.
>Landorus fuses with GolduckGolduck is now orange with Landorus' moveset and flying/ground typing, it keeps its own moveset.
This allows for a massive amount of variety when it comes to unique Pokemon, not only that it significantly makes more Pokemon vastly more balanced and usable, and gives us hundreds of more unique shinies/colors.
This is the best idea for Fusion and the only one that would logically make sense and be implemented properly.
