Aren't the only non gen 1/8 gigantamax forms garbodor and melmetal, with garbodor kind of being the only one actually in the game naturally also?

Unova was the region TPCs love the most after King Kanto, that’s why Game Freak respected the Gen 5 Pokémon enough to let then have the spotlight to themselves in there game and make them strong in PvP and why Unova had the highest number of survivors from SwSh’s Dexit.

There's also the fact that Unova has the most Pokémon... in general.
Unova introduced more than twice the number of species (156) as Kalos (72). It's the only region to rival and exceed Kanto's famous 151.
It should not be a surprise that the region with the most species gets a hefty share of reimaginings now that its novelty has expired.

That's not a lot really, Unova Pokemon are just starting to get old enough to get more regional forms. SV will probably ramp up the amount of Kalos regional forms and maybe some Alolan ones.
