If you want to strictly stick to to stuff directly in-game, Red cares about his mons(said by Oak). Cynthia told the Gen 4 MC that he/she "have both passion and calculating coolness". She also said the Gen 5 MC resembles the Gen 4 one.
Steven also says the Gen 2 MC reminds him of the Gen 3 one. They're probably all the same.
