>B) No one is playing the game since they're all done with it, so new people aren't exposed to it

What also didn't help are things like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's Expansion Pass (now meaning the game's going to be supported until fucking 2024) and other more recent releases like Kirby.

Reviews =/= sales, retard. PLA fell off despite its strong start and SWSH still stands stronger, hell even BDSP did (and are doing thanks to actual online functions) better.

yeah, it was almost immediately overshadowed by other releases. i wonder if gamefreak gave it a january release so there was less time with it as the hot new game, since they knew its lack of replayability wouldn't hold people's attention

i say all of this as someone who loved PLA, its just a fact that it doesnt have much to come back for

This is the same level of cope as people that think Gen 7 tried to get us out of the hole Gen 6 put us in.
PLA is literally the only good game since ORAS and the only great one since BW2.

It's a low effort entry that lost its relevancy due to bigger or more interesting releases as well as the announcement of gen 9. Pokefags were also upset with BDSP being shit remakes so there's that as well.

Probably no online competitive scene.

Doesn't make it bad; it is the most fun i've had in awhile. But once you beat it...yeah, that's it. Unless you're like a shiny hunter fag.

You play it, you (hopefully) enjoy it, finish it and move on. Maybe sometime in the future i'll replay it. Won't be the first time i've replayed a single player game anyway.

It probably doesn't help that gen 9 is on its way, but I don't know how much of an impact that has as we have little to go on other than 3 starters and Spain..
