Disliking X/Y is an easy way to spot the tourists though, it guarantees that the poster has only just started frequenting /vp/ within the last couple years. If you had been here during X/Y era, you'd know that 2013 was the last year where the entire board was actually hyped about a game's release and gameplay, every other thread was a Friend Safari/PSS sharing thread, Wifi general was buzzing, and everyone was excited for pokebank to reach the west. /vp/ hasn't collectively come together for any game since X/Y and probably never will.
